Foo Fighters have won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for their blistering single, 'The Pretender'.

The band were awarded the gong at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles last night (February 10). Dave Grohl later commented that he thought they won the award out of sypmathy.

Foo Fighters were up against Evanescence, Ozzy Osbourne, Queens of The Stone Age and Tool for the prestigous award.
