Placebo have announced three tiny UK shows for May 2009.

The shows are set to take place in the run up to the release of their new album 'Battle For The Sun' (released June 8th) - Placebo’s first new album since the release of 'Meds' in 2006.

Placebo will play:

Saturday 9th May - Sheffield O2 Academy
Sunday 10th May - Bournemouth Opera House
Tuesday 12th May - London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

As previously reported here at Smash Music, Placebo are also set to return to the main stage of the Reading/Leeds Festivals this August as well as playing RockNess in Scotland on Sunday 14th June.
