Say what you want about the homogeneity of the now apparently stagnant emo scene; with its plethora of bands breaking away from the ever increasing MySpace community, Fallout Boy are a marvelous pastiche of all things bad about the scene and it’s aesthetics, angles and squeaky clean production over good old fashioned music with substance. That said, they don’t half pack a punch with a tune that has hooks, horrible vocals and induction of contortions of the body into horrific gestures with gay abandon on the dance floor. ‘Dance, Dance’ sure ain't no slice of awesomeness that was single of the year elect, ‘Sugar We’re Going Down’ but it sure sits pretty with the likes of My Chemical Rom-com-ance and Panic at the Biscuits.
