After a surprisingly good effort with their last single ‘This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race’ Fall Out Boy have skulked back into the M.O.R. collage rock mode that they came from.
Where the previous single had a big beefy chorus and grinding guitar riffs, this one has noticeably lost any bollocks that they had the potential of showing. Instead they have tucked said testis between their legs and farted out this piece of musical nonsense.
The occasional buzz saw guitars stutter and spurt out the odd cough and wheeze, what was heading for a big chorus merely droops down like a soggy boiled potato and any emotion is lost as the singers lacklustre attempts at hitting the high notes.
The NME/Kerrang poster boys are said to be the sound of today’s cross over youths, and if this is the case, today’s kids are being highly deprived.
