Kaiser Chiefs - Love's Not A Competition But I'm Winning
Ricky’s clear voice opens this single, with wry lyrics typical of the band; ‘love’s not a competition but I’m winning’. Simple acoustic guitar, a more serious sound and a very repetitive chorus could be taken two ways; either the Kaiser’s have lost their groove and need to get it back or they’ve entered a more sombre period of darker sounds.
