Taken from their overrated debut album ‘Fantastic Playroom’ this is the third single they electro-poppers have released. Clearly geared towards the radio daytime play lists this synth-pop number lacks any real substance, imagination or edginess other then the slightly catchy rhythm section. Singer Tahita Bulmer’s ‘acclaimed’ vocals lack any kind of spark to really grab you whilst the repetitive lyrics are both forgettable and dull. It seems NYPC have been lauded because of their age rather than their ability to write good pop songs. Its polished, inoffensive and very plastic feeling, like musical junk food. However, junk food sells, so I’m sure this will be all over the place very soon. Just don’t expect it t be very good for you.
