US synth geek Brian Christianzo’s second release ‘Suffer for two’ is what we have been missing since Belle and Sebastian broke our hearts and stopped making music together.
BC Camplight is original, addictive and completely off the wall. The lyrics are fantastically real and as the beautiful piano and violins are not cheesy but simply lovlely.
Christianzo is eccentric, quirky, and you get the feeling that he really means it when he sings ‘wonder if you’ll ever do a single thing right in your whole life’. Each instrument choice is either intrinsically planned or a beautiful mistake and the boyish falsetto vocals are delightful.
The song is bloomin’ marvellous and a much welcomed breath of fresh air through pure, humble musicianship.
