The cover of this single had me worried, and rightly so.
What we have in 'Home' is basically every cheesy rock band cliche imaginable. Yes, it has those guitar harmonics. Yes, it has little guitar solos. Yes, it is littered with drum rolls... and yes, of course they've managed to squeeze in some strings. Very good.
I don't mean to have a go, because i'm sure a lot of people will like these guys. It is blatant pop-rock, but at least they're not trying to pull the wool over our eyes by passing themselves off as something else.
It's executed well, and in essence, 'Home' is a great song. It's just 20 years too late.
