Introducing unsigned Manchester hopefuls; The Jessie Rose Trip. The band, fronted by Jessie Rose herself, has already been stirring up a bit of underground attention and with their debut single 'Forever and a Day' they hope to reach public appeal and get snapped up by a major label. They’re in with a great chance, you know. Kicking off with 'ooh way ooh's, it’s obvious the young Jessie uses her strong voice as a lead instrument, much like chart topping vocals of Adele, Duffy and, rather obviously, Amy Winehouse. The song’s reggae/jazz/soul tinged feel will irritably grow on you along with that voice which, with a bit of refinement, will be on par with her potential pop rivals. This debut single serves as a fair introduction to The Jessie Rose Trip, hinting at great promise. Once backed by a major and a producer who can use make full use of that vocal strength, (whilst overcoming the inevitable comparisons to old Wino) we are likely to be hearing their name pop up a lot more.
