This year, Wireless Festival is a mixed up affair of different genres across 5 days in London?s Hyde Park. There are some cracking bands, but there?s also loads of tosh.

So, to make it easier, Smash Music pick out 5 bands you must see this year at Wireless.

The Like

This female three-piece from the other side of the Atlantic have been making waves with their debut album ?Are You Thinking What I?m Thinking??. They look set to be huge. For fans of Hole & Elastica.

Dirty Pretty Things

Probably don?t need much of an introduction ? simply Carl Barat?s new project after The Libertines. Definitely worth checking out considering their gigs normally sell-out in minutes.

The Raconteurs

Jack White and Brendan Benson get together to form a band and this is what you end up with! If you?re a White Stripes fan, make sure you see these!

Young Knives

?You were screaming at you Mum and I was punching your Dad?! Sound familiar? Their single ?She?s Attracted To? is getting masses of air play and is all over MTV2. Live, this band are awesome.

Midlake

Everyone is talking about this band at the moment and rightly so. They?ve been compared to The Flaming Lips and even Radiohead but these Texan upstarts deliver a very unique sound. This time next year, everyone will know them.
